ABOUT US

CUESA’s Ferry Plaza Farmers Market is widely known for its dedication to sustainable producers and wide variety of high-quality produce, beloved by locals, visitors, and restaurant chefs alike. All products offered through Ferry Plaza Farmers Market Delivered are sourced directly from Ferry Plaza Farmers Market farms within California, which means you’re getting the best and freshest seasonal produce California’s farms have to offer.

Ferry Plaza Farmers Market Delivered was born through a collaboration between CUESA, the educational food nonprofit that operates the iconic Ferry Plaza Farmers Market at the San Francisco Ferry Building, and The Fruit Guys, a 23-year veteran of home and office produce delivery.

Ferry Plaza Farmers Market Delivered is an evolution of the CUESA Farmers Market Box, an innovative program created by CUESA during the pandemic to support farms when restaurants closed and demand for curbside pickup and delivery options surged. CUESA sold close to 5,000 boxes and directed $175,000 to more than 60 small farms and food businesses in the last year. The program was discontinued May 1.

With Ferry Plaza Farmers Market Delivered, CUESA and The FruitGuys came together to support the long-term economic success of small, sustainable farmers and increase community access to fresh, locally-grown food.

About CUESA

CUESA is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to growing thriving communities through the power and joy of local food. We envision a world that nourishes all people, local economies, and the living earth.

Founded in 1994, we have managed the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market in San Francisco since 1999 and Mission Community Market in San Francisco since 2018. CUESA’s farmers markets connect urban dwellers with our local food shed, offering beautiful public spaces where people can learn, share, and build community through good food, and small farmers and food businesses can thrive. CUESA’s educational initiatives inspire eaters of all ages to participate in cultivating a healthy food system, including market programs, public talks, youth programs, and more.
