Mary Risavi got her start in farmers markets working at the Heirloom Organic Gardens stand. Building on her Traditional Chinese Medicine studies and work as a nutritionist, she started Wise Goat Organics with the intention to prepare nutrient-dense foods for her clients, sourcing seasonal produce from local farms. She uses micro-batch fermentation in glass crocks to ensure a proper environment for beneficial bacteria to grow and to avoid any contamination from plastics. Mary strives to make her business as sustainable as possible, with minimal impact on the earth, while providing krauts, kvasses, tinctures, and other fermented foods that are nutritious and taste great at the same time.
