Farm History
Since 1962, Louis and Mike Iacopi have been farming along the California coastline. A three-generation farming family originally from Tuscany, they are known for their flavourful bean varieties which were brought to the US by the family’s patriarch, Michele Iacopi. Working as a ranch cook, Michele realized there wasn’t enough food to feed everyone so he planted the bean seeds he had from Italy. These same bean varieties are still grown by the family today and are cherished by some of the most prominent restaurants in San Francisco, Napa, and Sonoma.
